Supriya was admitted as a lawyer after completing her Juris Doctor at UNSW Sydney. She has been deliberate in building her career in family law, gaining experience at a national firm and community legal centres before joining SBFL.

Her experience spans parenting, property, divorce, and family violence matters. Her earlier work in litigation support also shaped her careful and organised approach, particularly when working with sensitive information, complex facts, and demanding deadlines.

Having lived and studied in both India and Australia, Supriya brings a valuable cross-cultural perspective to her work. She understands that family law matters are rarely shaped by legal issues alone, and that family relationships, cultural expectations, financial circumstances and personal values can all influence the decisions a client must make.

Supriya speaks English and Hindi and is committed to communicating in a way that is clear, respectful and accessible.

“I believe clients deserve to feel heard, informed, and supported. My role is to listen carefully, explain things clearly and help them make confident decisions about what comes next.”

Supriya brings warmth, curiosity and close attention to detail to her work. She has a particular interest in parenting and property matters, family violence, surrogacy and international adoption, and is committed to continuing to develop across all areas of family law.

Outside of practice, Supriya is happiest spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys wandering through Sydney’s weekend markets, discovering new places to eat and settling in for long lunches and dinners with the people closest to her.
